Day 13 Environment

Day 13
Environment
21 Day Transformation Challenge

2 Corinthians 6:14
Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? NLT

Best Environment for success in Faith, Food and Fitness:

Your  environment can make or break you, be mindful of your surroundings. Open your eyes to whats going on around you and analyze why your struggling with healthy living, take notes and make the necessary changes to create a healthier environment.  You must choose healthier environments, healthier friends and make healthier choices to succeed in healthy living for life for the mind, body and soul .  If not you will always be doomed for failure and unable to reach your goals.  Because it's much easier to pull someone down than it is to lift them up to a higher level.  Pastor Ed Young once gave an illustration of a man standing on a chair while another man was standing on the ground next to the chair.  He then asked the man on the ground to pull them man off the chair, he came down within seconds, but when he asked the man to get back on the chair and lift the man up to his level it was impossible.  This illustration stuck with me for years, it's been extremely valuable, because I have applied it to my journey of healthy living for life. So remind yourself,  anytime you want to hang out with your "pig out peeps" or "gossip girls" or "lazy loungers" imagine this illustration and redirect the environment for a NO FOOD, NO GOSSIP, NO LAZINESS environment! Or realize what kind of friends you  want to surround yourself with 99% of the time and pray for better friends that will inspire, encourage and help you be the best God created you to be, BLESSED beyond belief!  This doesn't mean you must give up your best friends, it just means you must spend less time with them.  Eventually they will see your success and join your Healthy Lifestyle!!!

Goal: Surround yourself with like minded people, people who love the Lord with all their hearts, love healthy foods and love to exercise.  Choose your closest friends wisely, for the wrong friends or companions can pull you down.  Surround yourself with friends that are on your level or higher, soon you will climb your way up the ladder and be more successful than you are today.

Success in healthy living requires work daily, how bad do you want it?

Enjoy Healthy Living to the fullest, for your mind, body and soul.

God Bless!!

  1. I actually do better eating out; I find that I make better choices when people see me eat! It is the mindless at home by myself mucnching that I need to work on. Thinking about putting that yellow police tape across the pantry door! I did throw away some really tasty crackers a few days ago.BTW this is JoStefy! Like the play on my name? StefyJo/JoStefy (:

  2. I agree with JoStefy...the mindless snacking at home is an easy trap to fall into. Changing up the fridge so that I can grab all my healthy snacks right when I open the fridge. Now to stay away from my son's goldfish.

  3. Carrie, I put on my daily to-do list "Will that food fuel my efforts or destroy them?" It helps. Esp when I can cross it off at the end of the day and I made ALL good food choices!

  4. Carrie, my husband actually band goldfish for our 2 1/2 yrs old! He literally threw the snack bag away when I try to give it to him. And he is right!!! We have to start teaching our children on healthy living while they are young so they can establish their way of living right and healthy as they are growing up.
And what comes to mind when I was reading your blog is what my pastor said"Hang out people that will CELEBRATE you, not TOLERATE you" We so often just want to stay comfortable because that is easier than changing. From our relationship, to our jobs to our fitness. And another great quote from my pastor "Change is NOT change until there's change" We can come up with thousand excuses of WHY we don't want to change but it takes LESS energy and time to actually make the change. Many time people don't want to change because of fear but we are created in the likeness and image of God, our Heavenly Father. And in Him there's no darkness and no fear!!!! The battle is already won. Jesus has already died on the cross and rose again for you and me. So now it's up to US to either accept the challenges in life and make a difference on this earth for others. Or just sit on the side line and do nothing.
I am a TRUE believer that we are here on earth NOT for ourselves but for others that need us. What if you have the ability to know someone is hurting because you didn't do what God has called your to do? Just picture that person is calling your name and asking you "Why?" With that picture in mind, I guarantee you will work extra work on the assignment God has place in your life. Be mindful of others. God bless!

  7. My hardest thing--well, I have many...but parties are so hard. Everyone is eating & there's junk food all around you. Last night, i went to a party. they had cake--it smelled so sweet. And they had ice cream cake. Mac n' cheese. I wanted some of it so bad. But I don't like chewing right now b/c it feels funny (i just got my wisdom teeth removed). So that saved me from sinning...lol
