Day 18 Improvement

Day 18 Improvement
21 Day Transformation Challenge

Improvement ~ Today you get to choose the area you want to improve on!

Continuous Improvement causes us to think about the upstream process not the downstream damage control.
Read Ephesians 4 and rely on God

 1. Improve your Faith

Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Choose to improve:
  • Building a relationship with God: know Him and hear from Him! Romans 1:19 &20
  • Praising and Thanking Him more:  edifies our Spirit, brings joy, victory and faith Psalm 92:1
  • Studying His Word (study the a topic you need to improve on: patience, diligence, love, peace etc)
  • Attending Church/ finding a church: get enriched & blessed!  Luke11:28
  • Listening to your Pastor via CD or podcast::  Ecc 10:12

2. Strengthen your weakness

2 Corinthians 2: 9 & 10 ...“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Get determined and improve where you are weak:
  • Stretching: reduces muscle tension, Increases range of movement in the joints, enhances muscular coordination, increased circulation of the blood to various parts of the body, increases energy levels (resulting from increased circulation) ~spark people
  • abs : strengthen your core, strengthen your back, improves posture
  • strength train: burn more fat, leaner body, healthier & longer life
  • proper form: to prevent injury
  • increase weights: to always progress
  • cardio: raise heart rate, lengthen, strengthen your life

3. Tighten up your diet ~ eat cleaner & healthier

2 Corinthians 6: 19 & 20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Study and learn about your current so called favorite cravings and replace them with a healthier choice.   Be determined to learn to fall in love with life giving foods and soon you will create new healthy cravings!  Study via: Webmd, sparkpeople, livestrong, etc

  1. Love your idea on praising Him!!!! When we praise Him for who He is, we forget our troubles because His mercy endures FOREVER!!!!!

  2. I need to be renewing my mind with God so I can maintain a healthy relationship with food by exercising self-control. God wouldn't tell me to exercise self-control if he knew that I couldn't do it. I can do it! It's a choice--a decision that I have already made!

  3. You know, the first time I read this blog I didn't read Ephesians chapter 4. So I decided to read it & come back to this blog. This is what stood out to me:"This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind.." (v. 17). We shouldn't be out-of-control like unbelievers when it comes to eating. We should be walking in self-control & self-discipline (I'm talking to myself--I've been a believer for 20 years). God gave us this wonderful body & I should not be destroying it by over-eating & eating disease-causing foods.

  4. This also was wonderful. Thanks for asking us to read this chapter. "...and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness." (Eph 4:23-24)I'm talking to myself: "I'm a new man & I tell my flesh what to do--it will no longer tell me what to do!"
