Day 15 Volunteer

Day 15
Volunteer
21 Day Transformation Challenge

Meditate on Gods Word: Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38

1. Faith: volunteer at your church

Best way to socialize and build a faith family environment is through Volunteering, especially if your new to church, attending church alone or don't know anyone in church.  Stop isolating yourself, get connected with a local church and get enriched and blessed with a social connection that encompasses Gods love.

Proverbs 19:17 He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord; He will reward him.

1 Peter 4:10  As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms.

Acts 20:35 It is more blessed to give than to receive.

Romans 12:7 Let us give ourselves to service

Galatians 5:13 By love serve one another.

2. Food: distract yourself from food
Don't make food your joy, have a servants heart and find joy in blessing others.

  • Volunteering your extra time will distract you from food, especially if you volunteer and serve in an area you are passionate about.  Search your church outreach programs or your local directory and find the right environment for you to open your heart and shine upon lives in need of your love.
  • Volunteer and bless others with a ride to church, gym, lunch, airport, etc
  • Volunteer, share and bless someone in need of this information
3. Fitness: Volunteer at a Fitness related function

Volunteering is  essential to long life, especially for those who tend to isolate themselves from social connections.  If your new to an area and you haven't built strong connections yet and you don't have a gym membership or you can't fit a group exercise class into your busy schedule, volunteer.   Volunteer and discover an environment that compliments your life style and schedule.  Connect, socialize and meet like minded healthy fitness fanatics by donating your time into a fitness related charity your passionate about like an Aids Walk, Cancer Society, etc.

God Bless!!

  4. My husband and I volunteered many hours while our sons were in school (they are now 24 & 26, colleged educated, gainfully employed and on their own) The pool of parent volunteers seems to "shrink" as the students get to high school. We put in many hours, but I would not have done it any other way. We knew our sons friends, their teachers and coaches knew us by our first names, if somethng was up we knew about it and if you asked my sons now, they will tell you that liked having Mom and Dad involved. Craig and I are very proud of our grown sons. They are doing great.

  5. My family and I volunteer at our church. I also am able to volunteer at my sons school. I have a big church event coming up in Sept and I am doing all the decorations, name tags and registration for - it is so full-filling. Hector and I have been doing the relay for life the past two years with our church members...faith and friendship go great with a walk around the track.

Angie, thanks again for all the great videos and information on your blog.

  6. You look so great in this video, Angela! Your hair is cute. Your makeup is perfect! Even though I already volunteer, I was already thinking that I can always do more. Since I have a couple of weeks off in the summer each year, that's my time to give back or even one Saturday a month, I can volunteer at The Dream Center or at a mission downtown. Thanks Angie for combining fitness with God's Word! I love love love it.

  7. "Don't make food your joy, have a servants heart and find joy in blessing others." I love this! I used to think about food all day. If I wasn't eating, I was thinking of what I would be eating at my next meal. There's so much more to life than eating
