Day 16 Give Thanks not Complaints

21 Day Transformation Challenge

Complaining puts your dreams on hold, give thanks and make your dreams come true. 






1. Pray and give thanks


Be thankful for challenges in life, for without them we wouldn't grow stronger each day, nor would we progress.  Win this battle and fight by giving thanks each and every day!  Be thankful and trust in God that He always pulls us through. Be thankful He never allows anything you cant handle to come upon you.  Be thankful we have an awesome God who never does anything to hurt us, for God is good all the time and has no evil in Him.  Evil, frustrations, weakness are just lies from the devil, overcome and win with God by giving Him praise, glory and honor vs words of complaints, doubt and unbelief.


Philippians 2: 14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing.


Philippians 4: 6-8  6.Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

"God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength but with your testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13).  ~ It doesn't say God will test you, it says He will not allow you to get tested more than you can handle.  God doesn't test us, it's the enemy.  The enemy test us and we choose how we are going to react, and the enemy tempts us and WE have the choice to fall into the temptation or overcome it.  We overcome by trusting, relying and obeying Gods Word!  With God anythings possible, with God you are more than conquerors, with God you are an victorious over-comer.  Read His Word and know who you are in Him.  Knowing who you are gives you control over the enemy.  Take control, speak His Word and "Give Thanks not complaints"!

Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.





1 John 4:5  for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

Col 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Psalm 100:5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 136:1  & Psalm 107:1 & Psalm 118:1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.


2. Put on a can do attitude


Complaining, "I'm tired", "I can't", "I don't have a gym nearby" "I don't know what to do"  "My spouse doesn't like working out"... doesn't change your situation and it doesn't help you loose weight, it's just another excuse and a waste of time.  In fact it hinders your goals and pulls you further from your blessings and dreams of the healthy, fit, strong body that's within you.  Allow your Athlete to break through by giving THANKS & praise for all the good things you do have!  Give thanks that you are alive, that you can walk, move, dance, jump, etc.

  Make a list of your blessings and remind yourself how blessed you truly are everyday.  


3. Apply your knowledge without complaining

Knowledge is only beneficial if applied.  So apply, give thanks and without complaining.  Complaining will pull you down and keep you in a rut.  

  • Don't get frustrated, don't murmur, grumble or complain if your spouse brings home junk food, take action and trash it.  Take action and pass on it, take action and be the strong athlete you are, GIVE THANKS, for your spouse is strengthening you!  
  • Don't complain about counting your calories, give thanks you have calories to consume and that you have the knowledge to keep track of them!!  We are so blessed, remind yourself of your blessings!
  • Don't complain about dining out. Give thanks you can eat out and give thanks that you are an over-comer, and grow stronger each dining experience!    
  • When the urge comes on and you want to complain, take a moment and give thanks for your blessings!  When you speak to soon and you uttered a complaint, be mindful of your blessings, refresh your words and give thanks!!  Give Thanks not Complaints!!!



Hmm, is she reading my mind?  No, I know because I once complained about all the above and if I can overcome these temporary obstacles so can you!!

  1. I love love love this one....it was definitely worth the wait (I've been waiting since this morning...hehe). It hit so close to home. In the past, I have complained about everything & everyone (as if I'm perfect). Thanks for the scripture references as well;-)

You are so on point.Charles was diagnosed with cancer in May & we have never spoken a word of doubt or unbelief. I believe that that is why we are so at peace. We know that he's healed & whole but we also honoring God's Word. Also, I visualize him giving his testimony at church;-) Thanks Angela;-)
