Day 3

 MOTIVATION
21 Day Transformation Challenge

1. God first and foremost always

Woo woo it's TIME to recharge and get MOTIVATED with the Word of God!

Put God first and foremost, you can not stay motivated every day without Him. Rely on HIM, He is your strength when you are weak.  Stay motivated by seeking God and meditating on His Word every day.  Seek scriptures and find out who you truly are in Christ, knowing who you are in Christ will give you the strength and motivation to overcome and endure all trials, tribulations, temptations, obstacles, negative thinking.

*Matt 6:33 Seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you.
Put God first, everything else will follow!

*Phil 4:13 You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.
Meditate on this scripture and remind yourself you CAN do all things!

*2 Corinthians 12:9 And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
When you feel weak, defeated, lazy, seek God for strength to overcome!

* Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
Don't go by how you feel, trust in God for the strength to endure all things and overcome your feelings

*Proverbs  23:7 So a man thinketh in his heart so is he.
You are an Athlete for God, think it, believe it, speak it, proclaim it, LIVE IT!!!

* 1 Corinthians 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Don't allow temptations over take you, conquer them and endure ALL things you strong Athletes for God

*Romans 8:17 I am more than a conqueror through Him (God) who loves us.
Conquer the desire to quit, never give up!

*1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise Him for VICTORY!!!

*Genesis 1:27 God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.  *Ephesians 5:1 Be imitators of God
Thankfully Jesus didn't go by how he felt in the Garden of Gethsename before dying on the cross. Follow His example, don't go by how you feel push through, rise up and LIVE blessed like Jesus did! Let your bad habits die on the cross!

For more motivational scriptures to help you overcome each obstacle search google, blueletterbible.com, biblegateway.com or biblos.com

2. Good Examples: Pastors, trainers, Instructors, friends

* Proverbs 11:14 Where there is no guidance, the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.

Think like an athlete, athletes have trainers, coaches, teachers that instruct them to better their skills and talents.  Follow their lead,  surround yourself with  good examples, people who have conquered healthy living, people who live the life you desire to live every day.  Don't be envious, be inspired, motivated and seek their knowledge, help and advice to push you towards victory. Get motivated, knowing & believing "if they can do it, so can you!"
If you don't have someone personally you can speak to find someone online, TV, books or  DVD's that motivates you.
Some of my favorite Pastors are out of reach; however I constantly seek their advice by following their examples.  Some of my absolute favorite Pastors via TV, podcast or online: Apostle Price & Frederick K.C. Price Ever Increasing Faith, Creflo Dollar, Mike Webb, Ed Young, Kenneth Hagin, Joyce Meyers, Joel Olsteen.
Favorite Fitness Mentors: Chalene Johnson, Tony Horton, Shaun T

Favorite Book: The Bible & Greater Health God's Way by Stormie Omartian

3. Help Others

Luke 6:31 Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Since becoming a Beachbody Coach one year ago I have realized helping others motivates me to keep on track to living healthy every day, for I must be an example of my product.  It is the main tool which inspired me to start the 21 Day challenge one year ago, it is the main tool which taught me how to drop the weight and keep it off, it is the main tool that keeps my appetite in check, it is the main tool which gave me the motivation to loose over 50lbs and it is the primary tool that keeps me living healthy every single day!!!!! To find out more about becoming a Coach got to www.beachbodycoach.com

It's a scientific fact that helping others gives a huge motivational surge also known as the "helpers high" which is often followed by feelings of increased motivation, inspiration, self worth, calm, and relaxation.
Helping others provides a healthy distraction of self, for focusing on others takes us away from our selfish desires to over eat, be lazy, worry, stress, etc.  Helping others blesses us as much as it blesses others,  because the act of helping motivates, inspires and pushes us to be a great example and leader. It makes us feel that our decision and our life style matters to someone, so we stay motivated to make healthier choices. Helping others may also block pain of our current weight and situation because our attention is shifted from personal  to others. Helping others  also improves our outlook and enhances our sense of gratitude for what we have.

4. Picture This

*Proverbs 29:18 Without visions my people perish.

Envision who you want to be and become it.  Dream big, see yourself the way God made you, in His own image and likeness.  Meditate, envision and believe His Word is true.

Additional helpful ways to envision your dreams
  • create a dream board of who you want to become
  • cut out a picture in a magazine and put your face on it
  • have an special goal outfit set aside and picture yourself fitting it

5. Make everything FUN

* 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Be joyful always;

Be joyful always and make everything fun.  Blast your favorite worship song and have a praise party in honor of the Lord!   My faves: Isreal Houghton, Fred Hammond, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, Martha Manuzzi

Make healthy eating one big fun fest: research recipes, get creative, try something new, change it up, make it pretty, take pictures, post, get family or friends involved and make it fun, fun, FUN!

Enjoy working out by doing things you love, meeting new people, gathering old friends, creating your own fit club by using DVD's, have prizes, competitions: put money in, winner gets to go shopping for a new outfit.

6. Preparation & Convenience

When you prepare and make everything convenient it's easier to stay motivated.
  • Bible app on your phone, you can read it any time... we never leave home without our phone right.
  • Workout at home to DVDs, you can do it at any time.
  • Choose a gym nearby when starting out, for if the drives too long you may get discouraged and cancel your workout.
  • Clothes prepped and ready give you one less excuse
  • Food prepped and ready for the day keeps you fueled up and less likely to make bad decisions
